Not only is Joshua an incredible artist, but he is also an empathetic and kind person to be around for long sessions. I had gone to another tattoo artist and had something else done and it wasn’t bad but not exactly who I was looking for to have this shoulder and bicep piece done. I stumbled onto Josh’s page and sent him the design and he reached back out to me the next day to discuss the tattoo. This man did the most AMAZING job on my tattoo. He made great suggestions when it came to placement and size and you can tell he really cares about the work that he does. Everything has to be perfect and that’s what you need in your tattoo artist. Super easy going and easy to talk to and keeps conversations flowing while he’s tattooing. Definitely found my permanent tattoo guy and will be calling again very very soon!

The work I received was concise and well done. I highly recommend him and Portland Tattoo. The first tattoo was from a children’s book and Josh nailed it down to the printing from the illustration. It looks like it was pulled from the book and magically transferred. The second was from a picture my fourteen year old son drew. I asked Josh to make it more like the image he took it from and Josh pointed out, rightly so that the beauty of the original showed through. He was 100% spot on.
